Location: London based with flexibility to work from home 3 days per week and 2 days in the London office.
Salary & Benefits: £61,176 to £76,470 base salary, plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

About The Role:
The role exists in the Personalised Experiences and Communications platform (PEC) with the objective of harnessing data-rich insights and technology to deliver and enable industry-leading personalised communications and experiences across all customer touchpoints. We do this sustainably and efficiently to provide value to our customers and to the Group.

As a Software Engineer in Personalisation Lab you'll join a multidisciplinary team on our journey to adopting cloud technologies amongst various innovative and emerging technologies.

The team is responsible for maintaining, transforming and innovating the infrastructure and software required to ensure that our customer data, API platforms and technological capabilities meet the bank's needs now and in the future.

Your contribution will be instrumental to our strategy of simplifying, modernising, and de-risking the technology landscape, enabling the Bank of the Future and ultimately driving value for customers and shareholders. This is a key role at the financial heart of LBG, underpinning the long-term sustainability and integrity of the organisation.
We like people who come from a diverse group of backgrounds that can bring new and bold ways of thinking to the team.
We’d like to hear from candidates with the following experience:
  • Strong understanding Java 8, Springboot, Hibernate
  • Development of RestFul API and SOAP Services.
  • Building applications harnessing Container Technologies e.g. Docker
  • Managing application deployed to Kubernetes clusters and Helm
  • Build Tools: GIT, Maven, Jenkins CI/CD
  • TDD using JUNIT.
  • Basic Unix/Linux Skills
  • Application servers
  • SQL/NoSQL database
It would be great if you had:
  • Experience of building Microservices
  • Exposure to Web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, JSON
  • Banking & Finance experience.
